Krakatau Steel (KS) is a steel manufacturer in Indonesia. As manufacturer, KS has to operate efficiently by achieving the economies of scale. Plays commodity, make deal with price fluctuation. In uptrend price, customers tend place more order maximize profit. Customers less downtrend minimize risk high inventory. domestic competitors like Gunung Raja Paksi, Gunawan Dian Jaya Steel, Java Pacific, and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel. also competitor from import China, Japan Korea. To fulfil production capacity constantly, collaborate its custmers, understanding their needs it product service that delivered. There are several categories this industry, large fabricators, small resellers, projects retailers. Large fabricators resellers have big portion placement. select join key account distributor management. Then categorize into strategic customers, star status or streamline customers. every category differently be effective efficient.
